FAQs

What are the most difficult areas when putting on a tight latex top (sleeveless or sleeved)?

The shoulders and chest/neck opening. The garment must stretch significantly over the broadest parts of the shoulders. A generous amount of silicone dressing aid (lube) or talcum powder is mandatory across the entire interior, concentrating on the shoulder and neck seams to prevent excessive stretching and tearing.

Should I trim my chest/arm hair before wearing a tight latex top or vest?

Yes, close trimming is strongly recommended for comfort. Hair creates drag and friction when pressed by the latex, making the item uncomfortable and difficult to put on/take off. Close trimming or shaving of any covered area is advised for a smoother, more comfortable wearing experience.

How can I prevent my fingernails from tearing the material around the armholes and neck opening?

Use only the soft pad of your fingers and distribute the stretch. When pulling the top over your head or shoulders, only use the flat, soft pads of your fingers to gently grasp the edges. Never pinch with your fingernails. Distribute the stretch evenly around the entire circumference of the opening instead of pulling on one small spot.

What maintenance is required for a zipper or metal components on a latex shirt/vest?

Regular silicone oil for the zip, and isolate all metal. Regularly apply a small amount of silicone oil (not dressing lube) directly to the zipper teeth for smooth function. If the top has metal snaps or buttons, ensure they are isolated or wrapped with acid-free tissue paper when storing to prevent metal-induced staining.
