The feet/ankles, knees, and upper thighs/groin. The material must stretch significantly over the feet, knees, and the groin/hip area. You must use a generous and continuous layer of silicone dressing aid (lube) from your feet all the way up to your waist to prevent the material from sticking and tearing seams under tension.
Close trimming or shaving is strongly recommended. Body hair, especially coarse leg hair, creates high friction and drag when compressed by the tight latex, making the pants very difficult to pull up and uncomfortable to wear. Shaving or very close trimming ensures smooth dressing and minimizes friction.
Use only the soft pad of your fingers and extreme care. Latex is delicate. Always use the flat, soft pad of your fingers to gently pull the garment up. Never use your nails to pull the edges, especially near the seams or openings, as this is the primary cause of small, irreversible tears.
Regular silicone oil for the zip, and isolate all metal. Zippers are common failure points. Regularly apply a small amount of silicone oil (not dressing lube) directly to the zipper teeth for smooth function. When storing, ensure the metal pull tab or any buttons are isolated or wrapped with acid-free tissue paper to prevent metal-induced staining.
