Gloves and Stockings/Socks. These require passing over joints (knuckles, heel/ankle). The best technique is the "Wet Dressing" method, which uses a silicone-based dressing aid (lube) and a small amount of water to create a slippery film, allowing the item to be slid onto the limb easily. For delicate gloves, using talcum powder is also a good option.
Trim nails and wear thin cotton gloves underneath. Always ensure fingernails and toenails are short, smooth, and filed before dressing. For gloves, wearing thin cotton lining gloves underneath can protect the latex interior from sharp edges and make the gloves easier to put on and take off.
Isolate all metal immediately upon storage. Metal hardware contains trace elements that cause rapid, irreversible black chemical staining on latex upon contact. When storing, every piece of metal must be isolated or wrapped with acid-free tissue paper or plastic film, and kept separate from the latex material.
Store individually, powdered/polished, and opaque. Each accessory (even pairs like socks) must be completely dried and powdered/polished. Store each piece in a separate, opaque bag or box. Never allow different colors or materials to touch, as this prevents color bleed and metal staining.
